The Renaissance - Q-Tip (2008)
Q-Tip is a rapper and producer from New York. The Renaissance is his 2nd album and it was released in 2008. Q-Tip was part of the critically acclaimed group A Tribe Called Quest. He has been making music for almost 20 years. The Renaissaince was nominated for a Grammy as one of the best rap albums of the year in 2008. It features contributions from D'Angelo, Norah Jones, Amanda Diva and Raphael Saadiq. We Fight, We Love and Gettin' Up are two of the better tracks on the album.

Sign O the Times - Prince (1987)
Prince has been one of the most prolific musicians in the history of popular music. He has recorded over 30 studio albums and has been a critically acclaimed artist for over 30 years. Sign O the Times is one of his most interesting albums with musical influences that includes funk and soul to psychedelic and hard rock and also gospel, blues, and folk. If I Was Your Girlfriend and Strange Relationship are two very good songs from the album.

Queens and Kings - Fanfare Ciocarlia (2007)
There are musical artists on this album from all over the Eastern European gypsy culture. Musicians and singers like Esma Redzepova, Lilijana Butler and Saban Bajramovic who display the type of rock and roll mixed with the folk traditions of Eastern European music that make this a wonderful album. One of the most interesting songs on this album is a cover of a popular rock and roll song, Born to be Wild, which was a hit for the rock band Steppenwolf way back somewhere in the 20th century.
